Ella calls these CRYSTAL BALLS and claims to be multiplying by “giving birth”.LOL. She actually gave a pack of these to me and I find it a nice replacement to decorative stones.

Rusty drums

By acelyn On December 28th, 2009

When we’re still living with Ace’ parents, we used to store water because water is not running in the area day in and day out. There are water containers of some sort like a plastic pail, plastic drum and the steel drum. Water in the drums is for laundry but I don’t use the one from the steel drum in washing our white clothes. The drum is already full of rust so I don’t use it with whites as it will make our whites yellowish in the long run. For storing water, it’s best to use stainless steel drums for it won’t be eaten by rust hence water will remain pure and good for washing the laundry especially white-colored clothes.

What a cutie!

I am not so familiar with dog breeds so I don’t know what breed is this cute dog. Ace took this photo during a dog show in Tiendesita’s in Pasig City during our Manila getaway last month.

More homey

By acelyn On December 22nd, 2009

After almost a year, we finally have our own sofa set! Initial plan was to get a sala set made of hardwood. But Ace changed preference that he wanted something where he could comfortably lounge while watching TV so we got a sofa set from his 2009 performance bonus. Thanks Unifrutti! Now our apartment unit looks like a real home. It’s more homey now and Ace kept on telling me he likes it more now that our living room can now be called “living room”. After the sofa set, Ace’ next project is a TV rack. For more than a year, our TV is placed on top of a center table. Now he wanted a real TV rack so we checked different furniture stores but we didn’t find anything that is decent enough for our budget. What Ace saw are plasma mounts that obviously is not designed for our TV. So we have to postpone buying the rack for the meantime that stores are running out of stock of what we needed. Maybe next year, when people will lie low shopping, we could find a decent one suited to our budget.

Another business opportunity

By acelyn On December 19th, 2009

I think one nice business venture is putting up a pharmacy and medical supplies for no matter how tough life is, people will still buy medicines and the needed medical supplies especially if there’s a member of the family that is under therapy and medication. Besides, medical supplies’ shelf life is long so it wouldn’t be a problem if you stock it within its shelf life. Hence you wouldn’t worry a lot if movement of stocks is low. Anyway, you can get better deal at JazzMedical.com for they carry almost everything in terms of medical supplies. It’s an online retailer so you can place your order without sweat!

Thirdie’s a big boy now

Thirdie @ 1 month and 28 days

Look, Thirdie’s a big boy now! He has grown so fast and we’ve been missing those days when he would just sleep, eat, sleep and eat! Now he’s so much hyperactive and plays a lot that he would make us sweat a little by running while he is also running after us.

Teeth straightening

By acelyn On December 14th, 2009

Slowly I am seeing myself realizing the plan of having my teeth straightened. Initially, my dentist friend told me she needs to extract teeth from the upper set so the front teeth could be pushed back and straightened. With the lower set, I guess I need dentures to keep the existing teeth in place. I do hope dentures could serve its purpose and that I won’t need dental implants Plano or should I say dental implants be done in Plano, Texas. I hope my case is just simple (as I expect it to be) so I won’t need other extra procedure for my braces (in the future).

Next RV camping

By acelyn On December 14th, 2009

An online friend and her whole family loves camping a lot. But its been months since they last went to a week-long camping. During that last camping, there’s a small rv breakdown since the water supply isn’t working. But the husband has figured it out (finally!) so they weren’t able to call for help from the RV company. Now their RV must have been ready again for the next camping (maybe after winter). Oh, wish I and Ace could join them. Seems it’s really fun!
