Loud speakers

By acelyn On January 31st, 2009

Trying to get some sleep but the Tarzans are so noisy and Kiaw-Kiaw is joining them in chorus so instead of staring at the ceiling I made myself productive. So boring to be doing nothing and it even made me feel weaker. So I dragged my feet and did the laundry. When I’m done doing the laundry, the Tarzans were silent. Seemed the batteries in their loud speakers or amplifier-like vocal cords were drained. Finally, the neighborhood is serene. Since I have started to get my muscles work, I decided to clean the bathroom to tire myself and I could take a power nap after but hey, I am right here in front of the PC instead. I love woods

By acelyn On January 29th, 2009

Ok, since I have started the day talking about home concerns, I would like to add one more thing. If we’ll have our own home, I wanted a wood flooring for my dream house. I don’t know. I just love woods or something like that. I want wooden furnitures, everything! If only there’s wooden plate, maybe I will get those.LoL. I love the texture and the elegance it exudes that I can’t find in ceramic tiles or even marble tiles.

Angeli

By acelyn On January 29th, 2009

Do you think this is my baby?

ww1-copy1

Definitely not! She doesn’t look like neither me nor Ace. A cute adorable baby named Angeli in Paradise Island. She was carried by her Dad while having a leisure walk and I was quick to click on the shutter while the Dad stopped in our table for a while to accommodate our request of taking a picture of her daughter.

On furnitures

By acelyn On January 29th, 2009

I wonder when could we buy the furnitures that we need. Ace has a great idea on telling me we could have made-to-order ones or make ours and I was like “where could we find skilled carpenters to make those?”. “Make ours?” He must be kidding! Work has ripped a portion of his personal time and now  he is thinking of getting his hands into making simple furnitures for our place. Well, if he really wants to do it I hope he’ll devote time for it which means, he should get himself to work on it and forget about watching TV and playing games in the PC. Ruby Tuesday: Year of the OX

By acelyn On January 27th, 2009

It’s the year of the OX! Hubby got this as a gift from one of their company’s supplier. Thanks to whoever gave this because this is the one and only decoration we have here in the house (not to mention the coin bank beside it which we named KINGKANG). Will this bring us prosperous 2009? Let’s see. :-)

Expensive move

By acelyn On January 26th, 2009

I couldn’t believe we moved without getting moving services so we saved a lot compared when Jovani and family moved in the apartment many months ahead of us. According to them, the moving services company that they hired charged them PhP 7,000 for one trip and when the movers assessed their things, they told Jovani it will all be carried in one trip. BUT when the day of the move arrived, the things couldn’t fit in the truck so they need two trips which cost them another PhP7,000. Such an expensive move! Read the rest of this entry »

Coffee table turned TV stand

By acelyn On January 26th, 2009

Our TV didn’t come with a TV stand. So the first TV stand we used in PILs place was the old computer table turned study table. Now that we moved, MIL sent with us one of their old wooden coffee table that will serve as a TV stand for the meantime. I’ve recounted in my other blog that Ace was looking for a TV stand but the tv stands available here are mostly made up of something like cork materials binded to make a board which is not of high quality.

Ironic

By acelyn On January 24th, 2009

I wonder what’s in cars that men are going crazy about it. Much more crazy when it come to sportscars. Is it because they become more of a man when they have one? Does the gorgeous looking cars adds to their masculinity? So I don’t have that masculine side because I am not fond of those and I care less for not having one. :-) Maybe because I grew up in this part of the world where cars are seen as a luxury and not a necessity that’s why I don’t mind if we don’t own one.
