Pending

By acelyn On August 31st, 2009

The plan on getting an office table for my home office is still a plan. Since we are getting a house, and it is not as spacious as the place we are living now, all plans of getting home stuffs especially furnitures were all pending. It would then be better to buy the stuffs that we needed should we see the house so we could estimate how big the stuff that we may be needing. Anyway, the office table that I am eyeing is still displayed at the mall together with the office chairs and classroom desks. Yay! I really can’t wait for the time that we’ll be buying the stuffs that we need. For now we are saving for some home stuffs that we need should we transfer to our own home.

Reputable provider

By acelyn On August 30th, 2009

I’m so engrossed with other things that I forgot about checking out for a health insurance online. I totally forgot about it because I was busy thinking how to redecorate my virtual restaurant that I’ve been planning to do weeks ago. Anyway, we’re not getting any insurance this time (for Ace’ employer provides it for their employees and dependents but Carol does. She’s been searching for a reputable health insurance provider since the other week. I don’t know if she already found the right company for their needs.

Mask

By acelyn On August 30th, 2009

Nope, we’re not in Masskara Festival. This was taken by Ace during the 2009 Kadayawan Festival last week. This is actually my first time to see mascaras being sold during Kadayawan (or I just missed it the previous years?).

MYM: Ladies in Yellow

By acelyn On August 30th, 2009

Davao City was so colurful during the week-long celebration of Kadayawan Festival. One of the highlights of the said festival is the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan or the street dancing competition among contingents coming from Davao City and the neighboring provinces. I and Ace didn’t get media passes so we couldn’t shoot in front of the stage for the showdown of the competing teams hence we just roam around the streets and from there he took this photo of two lovely ladies in their yellow Muslim costume.

Can’t dare to try

By acelyn On August 30th, 2009

I would love to go to the beach this time. Just a dip in the water and the seabreeze would certainly relax me. I am pretty sure Ace also want it because it’s been months since we last went to the beach. Here’s hoping we could find time soon.

Anyway, thinking of the beach reminded me of the adults only beach that I’ve come across earlier. I didn’t know there is a real beach of that kind but the Adults Only Mexico Resort named Hidden Beach Resort caters to people who loves being naked at the beach. Hidden Beach Resort is situated in a secluded place in Riviera Maya and it offers a world-class comfort and luxury so people going there must have a touch of class because the place is not for ordinary beach lovers. Such a wonderful place, if only I can dare to be “garment-less” in going to the beach.

Waling-Waling

By acelyn On August 29th, 2009

Another variety of Waling-Waling – the most sought after flower in Mindanao. I used to see Waling-Waling flowers in combination of peach and red or maroon. But this one is new to me. Looks beautiful though and how I wish I could buy Waling-Waling plants for my future garden. Yay!

Good luck!

By acelyn On August 27th, 2009

I wanted to post a photo now but I am using FILs lappy and photos are saved in the desktop so it will be posted next time. However, before I proceed on resizing and putting watermarks on my photos when the desktop would be available, I’d better check out sites that provide data for life insurance leads. Nope, I am not going to be an insurance agent that I would need life insurance lead but I think it would also be helpful to those who are looking for a good insurance company. I amnot looking for an insurance company but my sister does. Hence, I wish her luck in finding the right insurance company.

Candle therapy

By acelyn On August 19th, 2009

candleCandles are one of my weakness. I see to it that I pass by the candle displays in the department store or the grocery everytime we are at the mall. I am drooling over the beautiful pillar candles but all I could afford is a pack of scented votive candle or tealights. Sometimes lighting scented candle before going to bed is therapeutic in a sense that it relaxes me and Ace. We noticed we’re having a relaxing, deep sleep each time we have that candle therapy but it isn’t always safe as we usually doze off before we could put off the candle. Though I put the candle holder on the floor away from any combustible materials, I am still afraid that the candle that we might left burning will cause fire. Hence I am considering to get beautiful candle sconces as it will not only be more safe than my small candle holders but it will also add beauty and elegance to the room. By this I am looking forward to have a candle-lit room for a relaxing and warm atmosphere. Yay!

Strollers

By acelyn On August 17th, 2009

My nephew will turn 5 months in 11 days to be exact. But he weighs 9kgs as of the last time he was weighed in the hospital a couple of days ago. He was too heavy for me. During the first couple of days I began carrying him when they arrived here weeks ago, I suffered from muscle pain. Now my sister and BIL cannot just stroll at the mall for long with the little man in their hands. Eman has a stroller, actually but they left it in Trento because they didn’t plan to stay here for long since they are only here for Carol’s check-up and my uncle’s funeral supposedly. When they are supposed to go home, the little man got sick and was hospitalized twice so they don’t have a choice but to extend their “vacation” here. Read the rest of this entry »
