It’s weekend! Hopefully I could sleep in tomorrow morning and just veg the whole day. Will that be possible? I hope so. But before I plan about our weekend, which I am sure Ace will want to go on road trip again, I’d better check for companies where we could ask for term life insurance quotes. Who knows, we might afford to get one in the future (that if Ace wouldn’t be connected with USI anymore because he is insured for the time being).

I am working late again! Argggh! I am now having mixed emotions about my work schedule. Is this the price I pay for quitting my day job? Oh well, at least I am working from home….in the comfort of our home. Anyway, thanks goodness that I have a job and nice superiors. I’m just lucky.

After a year of prodding and a lot of convincing, I finally gave in to Ace’ want – a road bike. He has all the reasons just to convince me that he really need one. To end the discussion I said “yes” and finally got his first motor bike that he can use in going to the office this afternoon. No pictures yet as it’s already dark when we arrived here at home and I am not in the mood to take out the camera. Maybe tomorrow I could take some photos. Anyway, he got a Honda Wave 110 Dash. It comes with a free registration and one year insurance so we won’t be needing those insurance quotes this time. On its renewal next year, we will definitely need it so we can compare the prices and coverage.

We missed celebrating the holidays and New Year with DadMa (Ace’ parents) for they went to Mama’s hometown then spent the New Year in Dumaguete City. When they arrived from their vacation, we invited them over for dinner on Sunday evening and this was the very first dinner that we are complete, at least on my side. We had grilled Tuna belly, Beef with Ampalaya, Crabs and Brazo de Mercedes (from Goldilocks) for dessert. I must say, everybody’s so full that we weren’t able to finish the cake.

Feels like my body is finally giving up for not getting the right amount of sleep and rest lately. It’s been a while that I wasn’t sick and I think today is the start that my body giving up to exhaustion. I would still want to finish some tasks so I’ll try to do some and leave whatever I can’t finish tonight. Going to bed early is what I badly need now but as I am still waiting for the freezer to defrost so I could clean it and put the meat that we got from the grocery earlier, I’d better check www.goodsamfinancecenter.com. Then after I’d put away the meat in the freezer, it’s time to hit the bed.

DSLRs are expensive so we must take extra care for so we may be able to use it in optimum performance for long. However, there are some things that we should watch out for that can cause damage or loss of our cameras:
1. Sunscreen and insect repellant
2. Sand
3. Dust
4. Moisture/water
5. Salt
6. Thieves
7. Bumps and drops
Check out here for details.

While I am in search for the right vitamin for me (of course I badly need it because I have been sleep deprived), I might also check for some vitamins for hair because not getting that right amount of sleep has some effect in the hair, at least for me. Dry hair is one thing that I noticed lately. If I can’t have the time to pamper my hair, then hair vitamins might save me from some hair problem in the future.

One of our former neighbors died early this week. He died not of malignant Mesothelioma but of cardiac arrest. After the attack, he was in coma then after a day or two, I guess, he died. Glad he died immediately so the family won’t suffer from the hospital bills and prolong agony of seeing their father fighting for his life. It’s so rare that people in coma will be revived especially with the poor technology of the hospitals in the province so when Che2x broke the news to me, I uttered “glad he died”. I’m not being mean. I’m just being practical. With my experience seeing Mamang’s body deteriorate due to cancer, it’s heartbreaking seeing her helpless and we cannot do anything to cure the cancer. So it’s better not to suffer long especially if it will end up to death. Just my two cents worth.

Taken January 9. It’s been months since I last used the cheapo extension tube that we got for macro photography. We cannot afford to get dedicated macro lens so we sort of tried the extension tube that is so hard to use. Armed with the 400D, extension tube and the 50mm, I tried to shoot on a gloomy afternoon and here’s the most decent shot I got. It’s been a pain shooting in full manual mode especially that my eyes are defective. I can’t get it sharp!
