On health and tips

By acelyn On February 22nd, 2010

Need to maximize my time in blogging. And since I have a 24/7 internet connection, why not add more domains that I and Ace could monetize? Ace needs a little more prodding to blog, though. He wants, actually. But he’s not confident with his grammar and composition. Oh well, that’s too easy to manage. I could proofread his entries if he wants. Then in the long run he will gain confidence in writing. Also, if I add domains, I think I’ll go for health and tips blogs (as per Paula’s suggestion) so I could hire ghost writers to write blog posts. That’s it. I’ll have additional 2 domains for health and tips. Now I need some resources for those 2 niche blogs that I will be making and an entry on herpes simplex 2 might be one of the first blog posts that I’ll be making. Wish me luck then!

Quality traffic

By acelyn On February 20th, 2010

Setting up a blog is so easy, at least for me who has 8 blogs. :-) But maintaining a steady quality traffic is so difficult especially that I don’t optimize my blogs or I don’t post current events and the like on my blogs because I am keeping it as “personal” as possible hence no entertainment and news items in my blogs. I stopped dropping ECs and removed my adgitize widgets. Those two are giving me traffic but my bounce rate drastically increased so it’s not a good source of quality, unique traffic. I’d better make use of the free web directory for a quality traffic but I don’t have time yet to check those free web directories. Hence I am just contented with a few visitors in my blogs. Few, and yet quality traffic. As long as they leave comments, I am happy with that. It means I am making sense in my posts.

Put to a halt

By acelyn On January 3rd, 2010

Honestly, I miss writing posts for the company that sells all kinds of invitations including first communion invitations. It’s been weeks already since I made my last post for them and it was suddenly stopped for the time being due to some issues with Mr. G. According to my contact, rest assured I’d be working with them once the project will resume….hope it will be soon!

Traffic from blog directories

By acelyn On November 30th, 2009

When I started blogging, I’ve been so diligent to check out sites that allows free directory submissions for blogs. It somehow helped in directing traffic to my blog. After a while I stopped and most of my blogs are not submitted in that free blog directory. I think I need to include my other blogs in the blog directory hence I’ll work on that when I have time. Keeping my fingers crossed!

On short vacation

By acelyn On November 30th, 2009

Hello from my bro-in-law’s place in Las Piñas City! We’re here for a short vacation since Friday and so far, so good. We’ve been to places that are scheduled in our itinerary and we’ve never experienced being lost though we’re not that familiar with the places we’ve been.LOL. A gps would have been a great help but we relied on people from whom we asked for direction. Now is the last day of our “tour” and I hope we’ll never get lost like what happened the past few days.

Good morning Cebu!

By acelyn On October 30th, 2009

Good morning! Greetings from my hotel room in Cebu City! I thought it’s still 5AM so I was shocked to see the time in the wall clock – it’s 5 minutes to 7AM. Today must be a long day though I don’t have a meeting anymore. Today is time for meet up with friends and churchmates, shopping for bring-homes, and going around the city with my colleague! Yay! Would you believe I flew here for just a 1-hour informal meeting with our COO, then more than an hour meeting with the rest of Cebu Team and a dinner at Bigby’s Ayala? For our department meeting, we could have had a conference chat over YM but I am glad Mark called us for a personal meeting here.

Anyway, I need to get going but before I disappear from the online world, I need to check first for spring plungers. Have a great weekend everybody!

It’s driving me crazy

By acelyn On October 12th, 2009

Using Vista for the first time is driving me nuts. It’s really crazy! I am more used to XP where everything is simple while with Vista, you need to go through many steps before completing just a single process like fixing the internet connection. Kindly hand me the top wrinkle cream please for issues like this make me really lose my patience. I am so patient with complicated procedures that’s why I prefer XP than Vista. But I don’t have a choice because the laptop’s specs is for Vista. Oh well, I hope I’ll have patience to learn how things are done with Vista.

Common interests

By acelyn On October 11th, 2009

I am so glad to know that my big sister (in HS and college) and I have so many things that both interests us. The last time we saw at the supermarket months ago, she mentioned she’s into photography and has been asking me to teach her. I am not that confident to do it so I told her to enroll to a basic photography class. However, with her work schedule, it seems impossible for her to attend classes, better yet online so she could do it on her own free time.  It both thrilled us. Then while catching up earlier, it was mentioned she undergone few sessions in culinary arts at the school where I wanted to enroll. Now she’s asking me to teach her a few dishes because she wanted to learn before she gets married (so the future husband won’t regret marrying a woman who doesn’t know how to cook)hahaha. Anyway, we’re both busy so our schedule won’t probably meet. Wish culinary and photography is offered at a university online then maybe we could find a way to fulfill our desires despite of our busy schedules. If only Capella University – the leading online university for working adults – is offering those two interesting classes, maybe I would grab that opportunity. Well, that’s just one of the things that I really want.

Crawling once again

By acelyn On September 21st, 2009

Internet speed is crawling again.*grrrr*. It’s so slow that all assignments I am submitting wasn’t verified. Usually, that’s the sign that internet is crawling like a turtle. OMG! It’s cut-off and I need to finish all pending tasks. I am done with a handful and there’s still pending but seems everything won’t be verified by the system due to the super slow speed. PLDT myDSL is even slower now. Bummer! Now I am stressed….hand me the best wrinkle cream please. This net connection will surely give me enough wrinkles in my forehead. Let me take a break first ‘coz I am losing my patience.

My time, his time

By acelyn On July 27th, 2009

Ace told me once that he doesn’t want to see me in front of the PC when he gets home. But since I had fulltime job and have a handful of blogs to update, he has no choice but to accept the fact that I need more time online than ever. Hence, after eating dinner together and a short chit-chat, we do our thing…me in front of the PC and him in front of the TV. Sometimes though he spends time in front of the PC after dinner so I have no choice but to watch TV or do other things that are left unattended. This, made him say he needs something that could keep him busy so he wanted to get something to keep him busy or better yet, an XBox so he could play games. A sound plan? I guess so because he is so fixated with games so that would make him busy while I do my thing online.
