Our online store – Cutesy Patootie
By Kerslyn On April 28th, 2012I am not sure if I already mentioned it here. I started an online business less than a month ago. My sister is into online selling since late last year. I and Ace are usually in tow when she and BIL buy her stocks. From our frequent trips to the surplus warehouse, hubby accumulated almost a hundred diecast miniature toy cars.
I got more than a couple of Pyrex bowls, more than a dozen My Little Pony, and a lot more…for our personal “consumption”. Then suddenly one day I woke up to the thought of starting my own online store. I brought out my ponies, took a photo of it and posted it in Instagram with the caption “They need a new home! Take all for Php1,500.”

An online friend said she’ll get it so I already have a sure buyer!haha. With the price I am offering, it’s really a steal! These My Little Pony costs around 300-500 each in the stores. Then two more friends are interested so I thought “why not go online selling then?” I was thinking about the whole day and woke up determined that I wanted to try this venture. Dear sister is supportive and doesn’t take my interest with online selling a threat to her business. The husband is even more supportive. So instead of putting my money to stock investment, I got some packed toys during our visit to the warehouse and got this battalion of authentic TY Beanie Baby.
A couple of days after uploading to my online store account in Facebook, a friend bought ALL for a steal. I am still learning the trade and don’t know how to reasonably price my merchandise so I have to ask my sister ALL-THE-TIME.
The other night, I had my 4th upload and it was a success! I am so delighted that people I don’t really know find their way to Cutesy Patootie – my online store, and end up buying some stuff. I am so grateful!
Now I am juggling between an online worker, a blogger, an online seller, and a wife! My store is still small though and inventory is still manageable. But I am hoping mine and my sister’s business will grow bigger. By then we would probably need a software that hubby mentioned to be using when he was still working with a pharmaceutical distributor like dallas quickbooks for inventory and financial help. Heard from a friend in San Antonio about san antonio quickbook that she got for her online venture too. I am not really familiar with it but hubby is. So might as well ask him to walk me through quickbooks for our small business.
Need to hurry, by the way. If you haven’t dropped by our store yet, please click on the link above.
