Making life convenient

By acelyn On January 9th, 2010

Gone are the days when we manually make cardboard displays for our Science projects during science fairs. Now students could just get a cardboard display available in the market and presto, they can set-up their write-ups and products in matter of minutes. No hassle of cutting boxes to make an improvised cardboard display. Even in stores, cardboard displays are being used instead of wooden racks especially those products that are promoted at the counter top. Life indeed is getting more convenient, thanks to the innovative minds of the people behind the companies that are dedicated to give us comfort and convenience.

Rusty drums

By acelyn On December 28th, 2009

When we’re still living with Ace’ parents, we used to store water because water is not running in the area day in and day out. There are water containers of some sort like a plastic pail, plastic drum and the steel drum. Water in the drums is for laundry but I don’t use the one from the steel drum in washing our white clothes. The drum is already full of rust so I don’t use it with whites as it will make our whites yellowish in the long run. For storing water, it’s best to use stainless steel drums for it won’t be eaten by rust hence water will remain pure and good for washing the laundry especially white-colored clothes.

Supply

By acelyn On December 12th, 2009

My cousin gave us hand sanitizers months ago. I think it’s promotional hand sanitizers because it’s packed in small bottles. That hand sanitizer was is on the rescue every time we eat out or I use the public comfort rooms. So when we met during our Manila Getaway to give me our “supply” of toothpaste and other toiletries, I asked for the hand sanitizer because it’s been so handy and useful for me. Sadly, they aren’t manufacturing hand sanitizers anymore so we won’t be having our supply now. Just the toothpaste, feminine wash and baby powder. Anyway, thanks for the free toiletries!

Backlogs

By acelyn On December 9th, 2009

I should be reading a review on the best weight loss pill but I am stuck with Flickr, organizing and reorganizing the photo sets. Got a backlog of photos taken this month because my ISP is acting up and uploading is so slow. I am not even done uploading photos taken during our trip back home from our Manila Getaway. Hope uploading will be done today so I could start posting the photos in my blogs.

Pimp my ride

By acelyn On November 9th, 2009

This is a continuation of my previous post.hahaha. I forgot to mention that Ace and Yang2x were talking about the car that she is selling. Actually, she’s selling it to Ace but we can’t afford it yet so he just requested for some photos and the specifications so Ace could find a buyer from their office. Though the car is an old model, some friends could vouch for it and it’s really a great deal! Just pimp it by installing few must-have car accessories and it’s good to go…like the cars in the TV program “Pimp my ride!” It wouldn’t look old and used. Oh well, we don’t have budget for that.

Motor parts (mopar)

By acelyn On October 17th, 2009

Was looking for something when I was redirected to a site selling Mopar parts of Chrysler, Dodge (Ace’ dream car brand), and Jeep. I am pretty sure he will be drooling over the photos of the cars shown in the website. Glad he’s not here or else I will be stucked in that site staring at something that doesn’t interest me. Oh, maybe I’ll be interested in it when we have our own car. For now I’ll be quickly going over the site and leave for what I am looking for isn’t there.

It’s driving me crazy

By acelyn On October 12th, 2009

Using Vista for the first time is driving me nuts. It’s really crazy! I am more used to XP where everything is simple while with Vista, you need to go through many steps before completing just a single process like fixing the internet connection. Kindly hand me the top wrinkle cream please for issues like this make me really lose my patience. I am so patient with complicated procedures that’s why I prefer XP than Vista. But I don’t have a choice because the laptop’s specs is for Vista. Oh well, I hope I’ll have patience to learn how things are done with Vista.

Reputable provider

By acelyn On August 30th, 2009

I’m so engrossed with other things that I forgot about checking out for a health insurance online. I totally forgot about it because I was busy thinking how to redecorate my virtual restaurant that I’ve been planning to do weeks ago. Anyway, we’re not getting any insurance this time (for Ace’ employer provides it for their employees and dependents but Carol does. She’s been searching for a reputable health insurance provider since the other week. I don’t know if she already found the right company for their needs.

Revived dream

By acelyn On August 10th, 2009

Ace went home one night showing me a photo of a for sale 2nd hand car telling me that it is really cheap. He even sent Nai (our BIL) photos of the car asking him if it’s okay to buy it. Does he has the money to buy that which he is going crazy about? Is he convincing me that he wanted to buy that car? I thought he already forgot about getting a car and now he’s here again. When will he stop thinking about that thing? If only I am dreading to get the said car, I could save my salary for it but we still have other priorities or we won’t be eating for a month. Candle

By acelyn On August 7th, 2009

candle

I love it when there’s no power in the evening because I can shoot candles. :-) Then I silently sing “it is better to light just one little candle than to stumble in the dark…”
