Tokens for teachers

By Kerslyn On September 5th, 2011

I heard it is Teacher’s Month beginning today until next month. What better way to thank our teachers who are putting all their efforts and resources to teach their students. I am a daughter of a former public school teacher and I have seen how my late mother put so much effort in preparing her lesson plan EVERY NIGHT and teach her students whole day while receiving a meager salary. I don’t remember a night when Mamang was free to help me with my assignments because as I do my homework, she is also writing her lesson plan for ALL the subjects that she is teaching in Grade Three. For thirty three years of teaching (before she died), she must have received a lot of tokens from her students – past and present for a job well done. Students and their parents should express a debt of gratitude to the teachers who are exerting so much time, effort and sometimes their personal money to teach their students. If I am a student now or a parent of a child in school, I would probably get this Teacher Acrylic Apple Clock from Personal Creations. I love what it says in it – 2 teach is 2 made a difference 4ever. Great one! Kudos to all teachers!

Blackberry Curve on My Wishlist

By Kerslyn On July 17th, 2011

I have seen the latest blackberry curve during my recent trips to the mall last week. When I saw it, all I could do was drool over it. It was quite an expensive phone and I for one could not even afford to buy even a pre-owned Blackberry. The phone has nice features and it just made we want it more. But, there is a big but, the phone I have now is just a year old and it is quite inappropriate to be buying a phone when I still have one. Oh well, one of these, when I have extra, I will no longer be drooling over some nice gadget because I will be buying it immediately.
