Some of the biggest advantages of going digital for photographers rely on having a computer close by — and that works great for photo shoots close to home. But what about photography in remote locations? Laptops are heavy, bulky and have a short battery life. What digital photographers need is an iPad 2.

How iPad Helps Photographers
So, how does the iPad help improve and assist in a photographer’s craft? Let’s count the ways:
· Portability. The iPad 2 weighs less than a pound and a half, and measures a mere 0.34 inches in thickness, making it a great device for tucking into a camera bag or backpack when out on a photography trip.
· Battery life. Batteries in the iPad 2 model last ten hours per charge, so there’s no need to worry when you travel away from convenient electric sockets.

The other week I got a call from my former colleague informing me that the plant manager wanted to hire us (me and Ace) to cover their company Christmas Party the following day. Such a short notice! But I have to say YES to it not because it’s additional moolah, but because it’s another chance to be with former colleagues – my first family in the corporate world.
Can you believe Ace was even more excited? An hour after I received a call, he started preparing our gears, cleaned the camera and the lenses, and charged the batteries. Such a melancholic! I it was me, I would wait for the last minute to prepare the gears.LOL. That’s how efficient Ace is.

BTW, our reliable Canon 400D is already old and is limiting our photography skills now. Wish we can upgrade so we could explore more. Crossing my fingers that we can afford an upgrade next year.
