I’ve been to Cebu City eight years ago but during my 4-month stay there, I never got interested in visiting Magellan’s Cross located right in front of the Cebu City Hall. It should have been so easy for me and Ace to visit the place before because it’s only a few blocks from where we attend our Sunday worship. However, during our visit to Cebu City last year, I and Ace made it a point to visit the place though even just for a couple of minutes.

My favorite scenes…beaches and skies. Here’s another one taken on our way to Dumaguete City on board a seacraft. The resort (I am not sure though but it seems like a resort) is part of Lilo-an, a town in southern part of Cebu.

Happy weekend! Visit Sky Watch’s home for more photos.

This is BIG LIGID. An island owned by a known family here in Davao City. It is one of the best dive sites in the area.
After hours of travel from Canibad, a beach where we had our lunch last Sunday, we finally saw BIG LIGID. Behind that island is a smaller one they call SMALL LIGID. Thanks to the wonderful weather that we have that day. See the very calm sea….as if we’re in a lake, and the beautiful blue sky with some fluffy clouds at the distance. Who would think that a typhoon hit the region 2 days before the travel and we’re under storm signal number 1 with such fine weather?
Happy Sky Watch everybody! Join the fun here.

My first time to join My World Tuesday! Almost an hour boat ride from Davao City is the Talicud Island. It is known for its pristine white sand beaches. Some beach fronts are not yet developed so it does not attract a lot of beach goers. But if you are like me who wanted a more private place, I am sure you would love it there. One of the famous and pioneering resorts in Talicud Island is the Isla Reta Beach Resort - owned by the Reta family of Davao City. It’s a nice place to relax and swim!

Another 15-minute boat ride from Isla Reta Beach Resort is another paradise, the Isla Reta II. The water is so clear, and so cool, with white sand and big waves. Only few are going to this place so it is heaven for me. It is not yet developed and I hope the owners will leave it as is because it is more beautiful than having structures all around for it will only destroy the real beauty of nature.

Thank you for taking a peek at my world here in Davao City, Philippines. Visit My World’s home to see other places around the world. Happy Tuesday!

Land trip to the southern part of Cebu is very eye satisfying with the old churches of almost every town at the right and the beautiful seaside scenery on the left. We intentionally positioned ourselves in the driver’s side in the bus to have a glimpse of the coastal scenes like this one. The reflection of the bus’ glass window is disturbing but I could not think of ways to avoid it aside from the circular polarizer that I have put in the lens. Whatever it looked, it is still a beautiful photo with the sweeping clouds higher in the sky and the cottony cloud formations in the distance.

Happy Sky Watch everybody! Take a peek in here to see more sky photos.

Below and around the area of this big cross is the Sunken Cemetery in Camiguin Island. It’s a few hundred meters from the shore and quite deep enough to scare us to death because the boat going to this place is not motorized.
Happy Scenic Sunday everyone! Visit here for more scenic photos.
