Next RV camping

By acelyn On December 14th, 2009

An online friend and her whole family loves camping a lot. But its been months since they last went to a week-long camping. During that last camping, there’s a small rv breakdown since the water supply isn’t working. But the husband has figured it out (finally!) so they weren’t able to call for help from the RV company. Now their RV must have been ready again for the next camping (maybe after winter). Oh, wish I and Ace could join them. Seems it’s really fun!

Vacation thoughts

By acelyn On December 7th, 2009

We just came from a short vacation but Ace isn’t contented. He wanted a longer vacation. He must not avail of his vacation leave credits next year so we could go on longer vacation as we (with some HS classmates) are planning to go to Ilocos (keeping my fingers crossed!). Hope one preggy friend can travel so the plan will push through. The thought of vacation makes me wanna try myrtle beach vacation rentals in my dreams because we don’t have that here. We only have hotels and cottages in beach resorts here but nothing similar to vacation homes in Myrtle Beach.

Golf courses in a resort

By acelyn On December 6th, 2009

Who says that golf courses should be far from the beach? I am actually thinking if its possible to have a golf course in a beach resort because I was considering if the grasses will thrive in a sandy soil and the sea breeze. I thought it couldn’t happen until I found Myrtle beach golf courses in the net. It must be great for golfers to be enjoying golf while taking in Atlantic Ocean breeze. During golf specials, people can enjoy Vegas-like nightlife and enjoy dining at the among the numerous restaurants inside the resort. This must be great but I am not a golfer so I won’t enjoy this.hehe

Surprise!

By acelyn On November 8th, 2009

Guess what? We bumped into Yang2x (a dear friend) early this evening at the mall. We are heading to the mall’s door and I was surprised to see Yang2x that I screamed!*lol*. I wasn’t expecting to see Yang2x here because all I know is she’s in Manila. I even peeked at her facebook photos early today so I know she’s busy with work there. She went home for her birthday tomorrow and that will truly surprise her mother.

We had dinner at Gerry’s Grill afterwards. Over dinner, she mentioned that her sister will buy an SUV soon so we can go up to Ilocos next year. Yay! It will then be a very long drive. Wouldn’t it be nice and more comfy if we’re going up using an RV? How I wish! But RVs are not that widely used here so you wouldn’t find brand new RVs for sale or even just a used rv for sale. Anyway, an SUV would do for that road trip.

While waiting for our scheduled trip to Siquijor Island to visit Ace’ grandpa and grandma, we went strolling inside Silliman University. For the 3rd time around, I was able to see Silliman University Library and the world’s biggest toblerone (according to Ace). He calls the Silliman Library post a toblerone.*lol* So this is one of the photos we took exactly one year ago.

Motorcycle capital

By acelyn On October 11th, 2009

It’s only now that I realized there are some photos that wasn’t uploaded in my flickr®. It should have been uploaded months ago but I can’t find it in the set. It’s actually a photo of parked motorcycles I took in Dumaguete City last year and I wanted to attach the photo in my post. Anyway, motorcycle is the most common means of transportation in the city….and according to Ace, it was dubbed as the motorcycle capital. Regardless of age, gender and civil status, you would see people in a motorcycle. I just don’t know if all those driving have insurance or the motorcycle they are driving is insured. Also, I don’t have any idea about the accident rate of motorcycles in the place. I just hope not too high or else more people would be needing the services of an accident lawyer like the Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney. There’s not so much big trucks plying the roads so I guess it’s still safe to drive a motorcycle there.
