Life In A Snapshot

It took me more than a year to finally land a job that is related to my course. I’ve been so engrossed in the thought that I SHOULD be working as an HR thus I’ve been searching for a job day in day out. I have used so many means in finding the right job. Been a frequent visitor of PESO office in the city hall, job posting boards in a university, and an online job search that is so helpful not only for me but also to other applicants. So when people ask me to help them find a job, I refer them to to the local PESO office, the bulletin boards of the universities and the online job postings from different companies.

I am working late again! Argggh! I am now having mixed emotions about my work schedule. Is this the price I pay for quitting my day job? Oh well, at least I am working from home….in the comfort of our home. Anyway, thanks goodness that I have a job and nice superiors. I’m just lucky.

Since I worked with the company I am working with now, I never had a chance to meet my colleagues (though I’ve met some during their outing early last year before I was hired). Almost half of the team are working from the comfort of our homes so we only get to meet during our Christmas Party. It’s only ten of us here in Davao but the two went ahead early before this photo was taken. So here’s my DWC – Davao family!

Good morning! Greetings from my hotel room in Cebu City! I thought it’s still 5AM so I was shocked to see the time in the wall clock – it’s 5 minutes to 7AM. Today must be a long day though I don’t have a meeting anymore. Today is time for meet up with friends and churchmates, shopping for bring-homes, and going around the city with my colleague! Yay! Would you believe I flew here for just a 1-hour informal meeting with our COO, then more than an hour meeting with the rest of Cebu Team and a dinner at Bigby’s Ayala? For our department meeting, we could have had a conference chat over YM but I am glad Mark called us for a personal meeting here.

Anyway, I need to get going but before I disappear from the online world, I need to check first for spring plungers. Have a great weekend everybody!

We really don’t know when emergency hits us especially if we are on a road trip or somewhere else. In my case I don’t know or should I say I can’t say where to turn to during emergencies on the road or while on a trip especially if I am alone. Maybe I could freak out and couldn’t stay calm. Oh boy, I hope I won’t experience any travel emergency as I will be flying to Cebu City late this month for an official business trip. Our COO will be coming over from the US and I will be working again for another “challenge” so he asked me to meet him there instead of him flying over to Davao.
