Life In A Snapshot

…is to receive flowers on my birthday or any other special occassions. There’s no better way to make a day extra special than receiving flowers. I am actually envious everytime I see somebody carrying bouquet of flowers that she received. I would just whisper to myself “how I wish I could also receive flowers”. Maybe I am not lucky to have married a man without passion of giving gifts on special occassions. During the early years of our relationship, it would break my heart not to receive even just a card on my birthday from my boyfriend. He is not fond of giving gifts on the day of the occassion but surprises me with his gift on ordinary days. For the seven years that we’re together (that was before we got married), I only received flowers from him thrice and all those times are unplanned. No matter how I would tell him I wish to receive flowers from him, he never tried sending me one. So I should accept that I married a man not thoughtful enough to give flowers nor buy me a surprise gift during my birthday, our anniversary or on special occassions. Shall I attribute that trait to nature? Or nurture? Guess both. Too much for that. I am getting emotional already.

Anyway, since we’re talking about flowers, I would love to have those as centerpiece this season for my personal satisfaction. I don’t care if I buy it myself as long as I can see flowers around me, it’s more than enough and this will do for a beautiful centerpiece from 1-800 flowers. 

These lovely flowers will surely brighten up my day though I won’t receive any from hubby. On the other hand, I would also want to get Christmas gift baskets for my aunts if I’ll have enough money.
