Life In A Snapshot

My niece Ella turned 10 the other Sunday. We visited them in their new place and spent two nights with my sister’s family. We had a simple lunch during her birthday but she indeed had a blast. She got a preloved Lalaloopsy from her Mommy and Daddy. She got what she wished for – a Lalaloopsy doll and a quick trip to the beach nearby.

Oh where did time go? It seems like yesterday when she was just the chubby little baby that is so clingy to me especially when she’s in her play pen. She’s now in her 4th grade and I can’t help but be concerned with her safety especially when she’s in school. I wish she knows how to defend herself from bullies in school. When she’s older, I guess it would be okay to get her pepper spray at safetygirl.com that she can use to defend herself from physical attacks.

I’m a proud Tita to my favorite niece! Oh I have 1 niece (Ella) and 1 nephew (Eman) for now so they are both my favorite niece and nephew. So when Ella received a merit award last school year, I and Ace trooped with them (Carol, Donald, and kids) to Ella’s recognition day. The little girl was so proud of her recognition and feels like it was her graduation that she was demanding for graduation gifts! Imagine that? At 7, she knows what she wants as gifts. Not just simple toys but dreams for gadgets too!haha.

Anyway, she got a treat after the recognition program – a late breakfast at McDonald’s, lunch at Shakey’s and a foot massage! What a lucky girl!

Last Thursday, my only niece celebrated her 8th birthday. How time flies so fast! Seems like it’s only yesterday when she turned 1 and now she’s 8! They spent the night here at home on Wednesday bringing along her cake and balloons with them. Before the clock striked 12 midnight, she got dressed and posed for me and her mom with our RED dining chair and RED wall in the background.

Her only wish is to have a BARBIE themed birthday cake so my sister ordered one from a bakeshop in their place.

Good thing it was still in good shape after travelling for four hours from our place to the resort where my niece celebrated her 8th birthday. She had a blast and according to her, it was one of the best.
