Outdoor Gazebo

This is the outdoor gazebo of Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City where outdoor wedding is usually held. It is one of the favorite wedding venues in Davao.

Two of my friends exchanged vows here on the same year and every time I am attending a wedding here, I am visualizing myself walking down the aisle. Been dreaming of an outdoor wedding before but it did happen (so maybe it could happen in my next life).

I don’t know what’s with outdoor gazebos that when I see one, I feel nostalgic. Gazebos for me is a perfect venue for wedding ceremony and intimate, romantic candle-light dinner with all the flowers and a violinist or saxophonist on the side. Oh, I start daydreaming again! I actually wanted to have a gazebo at home. Only, we don’t have space for it. I love outdoor gazebo in the yard surrounded with flowering plants or herbs. It would be a nice place to stay and relax on one fine day, read a book, or even work! So it would an outdoor office?LOL. So when I see a house with outdoor gazebo, I silently wish I could stay longer there or wish that we can have a gazebo at home. It’s possible, I know. If only we have a larger yard.

Our little abode

Home Sweet Home

Here’s one of the few photos I took last month when we just moved in. Landscaping and painting is on-going that time and I was planning to take photos when its done. But then, the procastinator me didn’t bother to take photos of the house after the painting and landscaping works are done.

This house is far from my dream house. But I couldn’t ask for more now because I started to love it and the peaceful neighborhood. Feels like we are back in my hometown!

If someday we will be given the chance to own another home, I would consider looking at the manufactured homes because it is much easier to put up. It can be transferred too! So I will be in the look out for mobile home for sale signs when that time comes.

Red Hot Mondays #1

Red Hot Mondays

I am one excited and happy camper for hosting RED HOT MONDAYS! Thanks Mommy Ruby for this chance and to Mommy Willa for the badge!

When we decided to have the house repainted, I have a clear picture of what the main door and one of the dining wall would look like. I want it RED. Got the inspiration from TV Host Daphne Oseña-Paez’ lovely RED main door in her house though ours is not made of hardwood like hers. For the dining wall, got the inspiration from a fellow blogger – FAYE – for painting her dining room walls RED.

At first it was just the main door and one of the dining walls. But the foreman ordered the painters to include the bedroom doors, the wardrobe cabinet doors and the kitchen cabinet doors. It turned out nice. Hubby and my sister loved it too so I am relieved that I chose the right color.

When I started unpacking our things, I realized I have a collection of RED decorative pots that I bought last year from a US surplus store. I just kept it in a box since I bought it because we don’t have a display cabinet in the house we’re renting before we moved in our humble abode.

Does our main door look gorgeous? And those pots beautiful? I hope so!

If you have something RED in your photos, brag it here in RED HOT Mondays! Joining the meme is not at all complicated. Just grab the badge, link to this post and you’re good to go. When you’re done with your post, leave your link here and let’s paint the blogosphere RED!

Have a RED HOT Monday everyone!
