I’ve been a sunrise and sunset watcher since my childhood years. Unluckily, we don’t have a camera to capture those beautiful moments. Now when we went home to Kabacan, Cotabato last week, I prayed for a beautiful sunrise and sunset. Though afternoons are always wet during our stay, last Sunday afternoon was a great one. While we were waiting for dinner at our cousin’s house to celebrate his son’s birthday in advance (yes, in advance because Biboy’s birthday is Nov. 3), I noticed the reddish clouds in the sky after the sun has gone down and asked my sister Carol to accompany me at the end of the block facing the ricefield so that there would be no obstructions in the photo but she said “no” thinking that it is not safe to go there. Thus, I’m contained at taking photos in the front yard of my cousin’s place. The moon is quite visible but too tiny in the photo that you wouldn’t notice it as a moon at first glance.

Photography has become my passion and my favorite subjects, anything in nature. Frankly speaking, I had a hard time taking photos of people. I felt like I don’t know how to properly shoot human subjects because I am more into landscapes and nature. Hence, I am always looking forward for this day so that I can share my photos. Here’s one of the best photos I took last sunrise shoot in Sta. Ana Wharf, Davao City. I say one of the best because I have numerous BEST photos.LOL. It’s really hard to choose which photo to post. So here’s one of the photos I had printed for the mini exhibit we will be doing in a friend’s coffee house. Wanna see my other photos? Just let me know.

Happy Sky Watch everybody! Visit here for more entries.

Ace and I joined the sunrise shoot in Sta. Ana Wharf las Saturday. It was our first time to shoot away from home for a sunrise. When we arrived at the location, it’s already daybreak and here’s my first photo for the day while walking to where my fellow shooters were posted.

Happy WS everybody! Join us here and have fun!

A very beautiful sunrise over San Juan, Tibungco during my late mother’s birthday. I learned something new with the camera so I was so excited for a sunrise shoot. Gladly my former officemate’s place is just beside the sea. I and Ace headed to their place last Sunday morning and we were amazed that we can view the sunrise without any obstruction though we are a little bit late because the sun is up from the horizon when we get there. We are looking forward for another shoot tomorrow. Sunrise and sunsets are so addicting!
More photos at my here. Happy Sky Watch everybody.

My favorite nature’s wonders…..sunrises and sunsets! Here’s the photo I took that most thought it was a sunset. I used the 400D’s automatic setting because I dunno how to use the creative mode then. Hence, it is not edited…all original…fresh from the camera. The only thing I did is resize it and insert the site’s name.

This is the birth of our creativity being unleashed in us. After few years of down moments, having been through a lot of ups and downs, Ace and I finally said our vows and started a new chapter of our life. Together with that new beginning is the brighter life we are looking into. At the start it was never easy and yet we have been blessed and finally see the sun the brightly shines to our lives and to the lives of out loved ones. Truly, no matter how long the dark night is, the sun will still be up and we finally see the light.
